Rapper Medikal recently shared wisdom with Ghana’s youth regarding marriage, stressing that love alone isn’t sufficient to justify tying the knot.
He emphasized that while love is crucial, it shouldn’t be the sole factor in selecting a life partner.
According to him, marriage involves complexities beyond mere affection.
“Before you get married I don’t think love is enough. Love is not enough for two people to get into marriage. Marriage is a whole different ball game. If you love somebody it doesn’t mean you should get married to them.”
Medikal advised couples to seek counseling and engage with family before making such significant decisions. He cautioned against rushing into marriage solely based on love, warning of potential regrets.
This counsel comes amidst his announcement of his separation from Fella Makafui, despite efforts to sustain the relationship.
While their marriage has ended, Medikal affirmed their commitment to co-parenting their daughter and ensuring her well-being.
