The threat to NPP’s victory this year is our own members, not NDC – Okoe Boye

Minister Designate for Health, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, has identified internal divisions as the primary threat facing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 elections, even more so than the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In an interview on Peace FM’s Kokokroo on May 7, 2024, he highlighted the pervasive bitterness among certain party members towards the leadership, emphasizing that this poses a significant obstacle to the NPP’s electoral success.

Dr. Boye stressed the urgent need for intervention to address these internal grievances and foster unity within the party ranks.

“Dealing with the Party people, I have seen that the biggest threat to NPP’s fortunes wouldn’t be anyone, any entity or even NDC but NPP our own women, who tell me they were angry and upset when I met them.

Why are they angry? There are a lot of factors. You meet people and they tell you , you are one who enjoys the most. Others say only only thing I have gotten since joining the NPP is a motorbike

“We have to engage with the party members to calm down issues … because it is only in politics that we tolerate mad people because the one you are seeing as a madman; has more people in his camp than those seen as educated.

“This election is a very difficult one but if you work hard, God will reward you” he noted.
