Ghanaian highlife artist Kofi Kinaata has dismissed concerns over death prophecies made against him by certain prophets.

His response follows a viral video featuring a pastor declaring a divine warning regarding Kinaata’s safety and urging public prayers for him.

Addressing the prophecy on Joy Prime’s morning show, Kinaata acknowledged awareness of it but conveyed his lack of concern.

“I don’t even want to talk about it. That’s what he has seen, and he’s saying it. Maybe me too; I have seen it, and I haven’t come out to say it,” he said.

Kinaata also disclosed that receiving such prophecies had become routine in his life, as he has encountered them on a monthly basis ever since he embarked on his music career.

“I hear this every month, sometimes in a month it would come from different places,” he added.

He clarified that his religious practice of praying five times a day is based on his Christian beliefs rather than fear of these prophecies. He expressed his desire to distance himself from such negative predictions.

These remarks were made during his media tour to promote his upcoming album, ‘Kofi O Kofi,’ scheduled for release at the end of April 2024.

The album will feature seven tracks, including his recent single “Effiekuma Heartbreak.” Other tracks include “Auntie Ama,” “Abonsam Ye Me Neighbor (Abonsam),” “Saman Aba Wo Fie (Saman),” “I Don’t Care,” and “Take Away.”
