There is nothing wrong with LilWin featuring Nigerians in his movie – Charles Awurum to critics

Renowned Nollywood actor, Charles Awurum, has strongly rebutted comments from critics, including Mr. Logic, who oppose the inclusion of Nigerians in Lilwin’s upcoming movie, “A Country Called Ghana.”

While Mr. Logic had recently praised Lilwin for bringing Nigerian superstars to Ghana, he expressed disapproval of their involvement in the film, arguing that Nigerians cannot accurately portray the stories of Ghana.

In a candid interview with Nana Baffour, Charles Awurum staunchly defended Lilwin’s decision, deeming the criticisms as foolish and stupid.

He argued that there are Nigerians residing in Ghana who understand the country’s stories and perspectives.

Awurum urged critics to withhold judgement until they comprehend the movie’s storyline and the purpose of involving Nigerian actors.

The Nollywood superstar accused those expressing negativity, including Mr. Logic, of harbouring envy towards Lilwin’s success.

He characterised the opposition as the actions of a few individuals attempting to hinder the progress of Ghana’s movie industry.

“So it is funny and it is some few jealous people that cost the whole thing. It is some people who think Lilwin should not progress, they are the people causing this. Some people who feel that why will Lilwin be the first person to shoot a country called Ghana with Nigerians, are the ones doing this,” remarked Charles Awurum.

“And it is stupidity, it is foolishness because Lilwin is trying to grow the movie industry in Ghana and you are fighting to bring it down, which is bad,” he added.
