Gospel musician Akesse Brempong recently disclosed that he does not receive financial assistance from his church for his pastoral responsibilities.
During an interview on Joy Prime’s Celeb Biz with Amelley Djosu, Brempong emphasized that his pastoral role is voluntary and that he is not on the church’s payroll. He expressed his satisfaction with this arrangement, stating, “I am not on the payroll of the church, but I enjoy it.”
Brempong clarified that he chooses not to burden his church financially while carrying out his pastoral duties. He mentioned that he sustains himself through various income streams outside of his music career.
“It is basically because I am into a lot of things that generate revenue, and I don’t want to be another mouth for my church to be feeding,” he explained.
The ‘God is Working’ singer reaffirmed his commitment to engaging in multiple revenue-generating activities, emphasizing his preference for not receiving compensation as a pastor.
