Renowned personalities Shirley Frimpong-Manso, Rita Dominic, and Bonang Matheba revealed as keynote speakers for the upcoming Women of Valour event, curated by Nana Aba Anamoah.
The highly anticipated second edition of Women of Valour (WoV) promises to be an inspiring affair as it unveils celebrated Ghanaian filmmaker, Shirley Frimpong-Manso, Nigerian actress Rita Dominic, and South African television presenter Bonang Matheba as its keynote speakers.
This empowering event, founded by the accomplished broadcast journalist Nana Aba Anamoah, is set to take place at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) auditorium on March 7, a day preceding International Women’s Day.
The inaugural edition, held at Labadi Beach Hotel, witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 2,000 women and girls registering for attendance.
However, due to space constraints, only 600 could be accommodated.
Responding to public demand, this year’s event has shifted to the UPSA auditorium to ensure a more inclusive experience for attendees.
Exciting activities on the agenda include a skincare session by the Good Skin Foundation, an etiquette discussion with Sika Goka of Etiquette Consulting, and a candid conversation on life’s challenges with Obuobia Darko-Opoku.
Nana Aba Anamoah emphasised the significance of Women of Valour, asserting that the women being honoured have defied stereotypes, shattered barriers, and inspired future generations.
Addressing the challenges faced during the previous edition, she acknowledged the disappointment caused by limited space and assured attendees that this year’s event will accommodate a larger audience, ensuring a more inclusive and impactful celebration of women’s courage and resilience.
