Archbishop Charles Agyinasare shares how he prevailed over Nogokpo controversy

Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, the founder and leader of Perez Chapel International, has revealed how he confidently navigated the Nogokpo controversy.

He emphasized that he has faced more challenging situations where he emerged victorious both physically and spiritually.

Even in the midst of the Nogokpo incident, Archbishop Agyinasare clarified that he was merely delivering a sermon on divine protection and the existence of malevolent forces.

He supported his teachings with various examples, one of which was Nogokpo. Unfortunately, his message was misunderstood.

“I preached in Togo, in the year 2000, And the park they gave me to hold the crusade is “ED3VUDU park”. And no preacher succeeded in holding a crusade there on that park. And I held a crusade there. I did the crusade in Aflao. The chief of Aflao came to the meeting.”

“You need to understand the dynamics of what is happening here. At this point there hadn’t been rain in the place for 3years or so. And they have traditional rain makers. They can make rain. And the chief comes there the first night, the second night, and they decide to make rain because rain must not beat the chief. And the chief had seen miracles. If rain beats him, it means all we did was nothing. So it starts drizzling then I take the microphone and I stop the rain. So the chief in talking says no no “I saw miracles but that is a small thing. Yesterday he stopped the rain and the rain could not fall. And then he says publicly, “Bishop when you are going, please make sure it rains for us.” Then I told him it would. I leave the place Saturday morning, it rained from Saturday morning to Saturday night. This was the meeting I held. I was talking about it and it brought the Nogokpo thing. So for me I have seen things,” the man of God expressed

Archbishop during a summit at the Perez Auditorium in Accra in 2023, described Nogokpo as the demonic headquarters of the Volta Region. His comments infuriated the people of Nogokpo and the larger Volta region.

The chiefs and elders of the town issued a two-week ultimatum to the archbishop to withdraw his comments and render an apology to the people.

The ultimatum elapsed but the Archbishop remained unperturbed till today.
