The man who is widely believed to be the presidential candidate behind masked-face billboards with the trending caption “The Third Force” may well be lacing his boots for the 2024 elections by intensifying his humanitarian efforts.
Businessman Nana Kwame Bediako, renowned as “Cheddar” and the founder/CEO of Wonda World Estates and Petronia City Development Company Limited, has stepped in to bring hope and support to a young boy battling cancer in Nandom, a town in the Upper West Region of Ghana.
Though such humanitarians supports is not new to the businessman, netizens appear to be reading a different meaning to this particular one.
The undisclosed-aged boy and his family were airlifted from Nandom to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital by Cheddar. In a heartfelt video and post shared by UTV on their social media page, Cheddar not only covered the surgery expenses but also took care of the medical costs after the unfortunate amputation of one of the boy’s legs to prevent the spread of cancer.
The touching footage captures the close bond between Cheddar and the young beneficiary, showcasing moments of care as Cheddar personally moves the boy around in a wheelchair and shares warm hugs.
This compassionate act by Cheddar has garnered widespread admiration on social media, with many expressing gratitude for the generosity demonstrated by the Ghanaian millionaire. The gesture is seen as a profound example of the positive impact that individuals can make in the lives of those in need.
Cheddar’s philanthropic efforts extend beyond this recent act of kindness. In a previous notable gesture, he provided significant assistance to the family of conjoined twins scheduled for surgery in 2021. Cheddar not only donated a 5-bedroom rented house to the parents but also contributed GH¢600,000 to support the twins’ separation surgery, earning him further acclaim for his commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
