‘Euphoria’ producer Kevin Turen dies at age 44

Kevin Turen, a 44-year-old producer known for his work on HBO’s “Euphoria” and “The Idol,” has passed away.

The spokesperson for Penske Media Corporation verified the news in a statement on Sunday. No further information about the circumstances of Turen’s death has been disclosed.

“Despite his many achievements in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion was his family and friends,” Jay Penske, CEO of PMC and a close friend of Turen, said in a statement.

“He was so proud of his children. He and his wife, Evelina, were resolved that their children grow up with great values and ensured they make a difference in the broader world. Our collective heart breaks for them, and we all feel such a profound sense of loss. We will miss Kevin so much, and this town lost one of its brightest rising stars today.”

Kevin Turen, a Columbia University graduate in English and Critical Film Studies, co-founded Little Lamb Productions alongside Sam and Ashley Levinson. This production company was behind successful projects such as “Euphoria” and films like “Malcolm and Marie,” “Breaking,” and the HBO miniseries “Irma Vep.” His work also extended to movies like “X,” “Pearl,” and the upcoming “MaXXXine” directed by Ti West.

He leaves behind his wife, Evelina, and their two sons, Jack and James.

This tragic loss follows the postponement of “Euphoria” Season 3 to 2025. Additionally, the entertainment world mourned the passing of Angus Cloud in July, the actor known for his role in “Euphoria,” who succumbed to a mix of harmful substances, including fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, benzodiazepine, and other drugs, leading to acute intoxication.

“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” read a statement from Cloud’s family at the time. “As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.

“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend,” continued the statement.
