After Manchester City’s 4-4 draw against Chelsea, Pep Guardiola asserted that he sees Chelsea as a stronger team than Arsenal.

The clash between Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday was a Premier League spectacle, concluding with Cole Palmer’s last-minute penalty securing a 4-4 draw for the hosts against the reigning champions.

Despite falling short of securing all three points, Guardiola expressed no regrets and praised Mauricio Pochettino’s team for their performance.

“In his evaluation, he emphasized that Chelsea surpasses Arsenal in terms of strength.

Despite currently holding the 10th position in the league standings, Pochettino’s team has displayed resilience by remaining unbeaten against three of the top four teams.

Their matches resulted in a 2-2 draw against Arsenal, an exhilarating 4-4 draw against Manchester City, and a convincing 4-1 victory over Tottenham.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Guardiola said, “They are a really good team so there’s no doubt.

Liverpool couldn’t win. They were much, much better than Arsenal and in the end, Arsenal drew. So, you know, it’s Chelsea; they won’t go away.

“I always have to think about what we can do to get better. It’s not going to happen that we come here and win 7-0. They are trying to rebuild. We have no complaints.

“We go into [the break] at the top of the league and I didn’t expect that after the Arsenal defeat. The next games are really tough.”

The Premier League is set to pause during the international break and is scheduled to resume action on November 25, kicking off with a match between Manchester City and Liverpool.
