Sammy Flex’ unveils plans for Shatta Wale’s brand as new manager

Samuel Atuobi Baah, a well-known media personality in the industry, popularly known as Sammy Flex has stepped into the spotlight once again by accepting the role of manager for Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale.

This decision was not taken lightly; it was based on a deep trust and undeniable chemistry that has developed between Sammy Flex and the musician. Their relationship dates back to Sammy Flex’s time at Pluzz FM in 2013 and has endured through various career chapters, including Zylofon Media, to the present day at CTV.

In an exclusive interview with GhanaWeb regarding his appointment, Sammy Flex expressed that he accepted the role as Shatta Wale’s manager due to his belief in the artist’s talent, a shared vision for the music industry, a passion for music, the potential for collaboration, personal and professional growth, and the strong trust and chemistry that exists between them.

“It’s a decision I made with enthusiasm and a deep commitment to helping Shatta Wale achieve his musical goals and aspirations.”

He continued: “Ultimately, my impact in the music industry is to elevate Shatta Wale’s career to iconic status, while simultaneously using his influence for positive change and growth in the industry.”

Sammy Flex mentioned a detailed strategy the team would come up with, highlighting how it would carefully integrate a number of crucial components to help Shatta Wale navigate the complexities of the music business while presenting a positive brand image.

“The plan is to combine transparency, media training, strategic communication, crisis management, collaboration, community engagement, and consistency to improve and maintain Shatta Wale’s public image,” he said. “By addressing challenges and controversies proactively and professionally, we aim to help him navigate the complexities of the music industry while presenting a positive and relatable image to his fans and the public.”

Sammy Flex, who has experience managing artists and has previously worked with Highlife musicians Kumi Guitar and Quarme Zaggy, has emphasised the many benefits of encouraging fruitful partnerships and the positive effects they can have on both the artist and the entire entertainment industry.

To achieve their shared goals, Sammy Flex stressed the need for strong, supportive, and collaborative support from stakeholders.

“The level of support we would need from the showbiz fraternity is multifaceted, ranging from collaboration opportunities and endorsements to guidance and advocacy for the betterment of the industry,” he said. “A supportive and collaborative showbiz community plays a vital role in the success and growth of any artist’s career.”
