Renowned Ghanaian musician Guru has offered advice to footballers, cautioning them against engaging in sexual activity before taking the field to play.
Guru asserted that sexual activity can limit a player’s performance.
He noted that only “unserious, aimless, and visionless” footballers involve themselves in pre-match sexual encounters, emphasizing the importance of focusing on pertinent matters instead of worldly distractions.
During an interview on Kumasi-based Angel FM, Guru remarked, “Every footballer with ambition and vision will never engage in sexual activity before stepping onto the field to play. We prioritize what truly matters over what pleases the world.”
It’s worth recalling that Ghanaian physical trainer Francis Totti Laryea previously expressed that sexual activity holds benefits for footballers.
Laryea stated, “Yes, indeed! Sex is beneficial… As a player, you need to find equilibrium. You can’t maintain peak fitness perpetually. No. You might even struggle during the actual match.”
“Throughout the season, there might not be ample time for sexual activity, but it’s advisable to address this before embarking on pre-season training,” Laryea recommended.
He further advised, “However, they should be committed to a single partner… My suggestion of the positive impact of sex doesn’t warrant promiscuity or multiple partners… absolutely not!”
