Code of Conduct Bill to be passed by government

Deputy Attorney-General, Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, has affirmed the government’s strong commitment to passing the Code of Conduct Bill.

In an interview with the media, Mr. Tuah-Yeboah emphasized the extensive efforts put into drafting the bill, including public engagements and discussions.

The final draft of the bill currently awaits approval from the cabinet before being presented to Parliament for further consideration.

Mr. Tuah-Yeboah highlighted that the Code of Conduct Bill addresses various important issues, making it crucial for public officers to exercise caution in their actions as they will be held accountable.

He stressed that the bill covers a wide range of matters, indicating that those who believe they can act recklessly would need to rethink their approach.

The Deputy Attorney-General expressed optimism that the Code of Conduct Bill would become one of the country’s significant and commendable laws once passed into legislation.
