GFA, RENFAG to provide support for Annual Oldies League

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has joined hands in a partnership to back the Oldies League, organized by the Retired National Footballers Association of Ghana (RENFAG).

Under this collaboration, the GFA will provide support to RENFAG, offering a trophy for the winner, plaques for the participating teams, medals, and footballs for all the teams involved in the Oldies League.

Below is a statement from the football association confirming the partnership with RENFAG:

The GFA Foundation has partnered the Retired National Footballers Association of Ghana (RENFAG) for their Annual RENFAG Oldies League.

This is the climax of the competition made up of 26 teams from the Greater Accra region divided into Four Groups.

Winners of the four groups will face each other to decide the eventual winner of the competition.

The third-place and the Winners Cup match are scheduled for Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the La McDan Park from 1pm -6pm.

The GFA has offered to support  RENFAG with a trophy for the winner, plaques for the participating teams, medals and balls for all the teams.

Both matches will be streamed live on the GFA Facebook page for the sporting public to relive the glory days of our retired national stars.
