President Nana Akufo-Addo has said he will not neglect projects started by the Mahama administration.

The President stressed that governance was a continuum, and that no political party owned projects funded by the state.

He was speaking at Anloga in the Volta Region as he commissioned the first and second phases of a shopping centre started by the John Mahama administration.

The first phase of the project started in 2015 and was completed in 2016.

It included the construction of 18 stores for traders in the area.

The second phase continued under the new government and it included eight stores, two banking halls with office spaces, a cafeteria and sanitary facilities.

Although members of the National Democratic Congress in the area criticized the President for purportedly claiming the glory of his predecessor, President Akufo-Addo insisted such projects are not for any political party.

The President further assured the people of his commitments to see to the completion of the sea defence project in the area, and a fishing harbour which he promised the people during his campaign.

Paramount Chief of Anlo State, Togbui Sri III, applauded the President for his efforts in initiating preliminary works on the fishing harbour.

He pledged his support to see to the completion of all projects started under the previous government.
