Pleased by the latest news regarding Princess Korkor Boateng, the University of Ghana congratulated Korkor on its Twitter handle, saying: “We are proud of you.” The post also stated that Korkor was a level 400 student at UGBS and that she had set a new record in the country’s accountancy profession.

Korkor’s achievement has been widely celebrated on social media, with many users praising her for her hard work, intelligence and dedication. Some users also expressed their admiration for her parents and teachers who supported her along the way.

Korkor’s success story is an inspiration to many young people who aspire to pursue careers in accounting and finance. It also shows the potential of Ghanaian women to excel in fields that are traditionally dominated by men.

Chartered accountancy is one of the most respected and sought-after professions in Ghana and beyond. It requires rigorous training and examinations that test one’s knowledge and skills in various aspects of accounting, auditing, taxation, business law and ethics.

According to the ICAG website, the minimum entry requirement for its professional programme is a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a recognised institution. The programme consists of three levels: Knowledge, Application and Professional. Each level has four papers that candidates must pass within a specified period.

The ICAG is the sole body charged with the regulation of the accountancy profession in Ghana. It has over 6,000 members and 3,000 students. It is also a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and the Association of Accountancy Bodies in West Africa (ABWA).
