2024 Elections: No blood should be spilled in the quest for power – Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and NPP flagbearer, has reiterated his dedication to ensuring that the upcoming December elections in Ghana are free, fair, and peaceful.

During a media engagement on August 25, 2024, Dr. Bawumia underscored that the drive for political power should be centered around positively transforming the nation and benefiting all Ghanaians.

He criticized those who, he claimed, often use provocative and inflammatory rhetoric, warning against any form of violence or disruption in the pursuit of political gain.

“It is becoming increasingly worrying that some people have gained the notoriety of churning out incendiary language, threatening fire and brimstone if the good people of Ghana give the mandate to rule to a group other than theirs.

“It bears repeating that not a single drop of Ghanaian blood should be sacrificed for power,” he noted.

He assured that the NPP remains committed to showcasing their ideas through peaceful and constructive means, aiming to prove their proposals are superior to those of other parties without resorting to violence or disorder.

“Our party is determined to pitch our ideas as we have always done, and to demonstrate the superiority of our ideas over and above what any other party can offer,” he stated.
