My 23 years of marriage has been successful because of my husband – Sweet Adjeley

Ghanaian YouTuber based in the United States of America, Chef, Naa Adjeley, popularly known as Sweet Adjeley, has revealed the secret behind the success of her marriage, which has lasted for two decades.

Sweet Adjeley, in an interview with Ghanaian blogger, ZionFelix, indicated that the happiness she enjoys in her marriage is due to the love and care she receives from her husband, Kojo.

“It has been good. But I can’t take the credit for it. I have to give all the credit to my husband. Maybe he can give me some credit, but I can’t,” she said.

She holds the assertion that men are unwavering in their decisions, unlike women; hence, her husband’s decision to treat her well like he would his sister has maintained the joy they have enjoyed since they got married.

“From my experience, I feel my husband has held it up because I feel when a man is done with you, there is nothing you can do to change his mind, but women, we are easily swayed. One moment you are hating your husband and the next, depending on how the man handles the situation, you fall right back in love with them.

“Twenty years is a long time but if it wasn’t for my husband, you see he sees me as his younger sister. He is 10 years older than me.”

She continued, “He makes peace with me. I am hard headed but if he knows I’m upset with him, when he gets home and I’m at the kitchen, he knows I don’t like tickling but he will tickle me until I laugh.”

On her part, Sweet Adjeley said she gives her husband the respect he needs and at all times, tries to do what he likes.

“Me respecting him, trying my best to do what he likes is what has kept it. For me, women don’t hold marriages. It is men. I will forever give the credit to my husband.”
