Two young men narrowly escaped death in Teshie near Accra when the entire roof of a building under construction collapsed, trapping them just before midday on Wednesday.
The incident was attributed to strong winds preceding a heavy but brief downpour.
The construction, an additional storey to a building housing several businesses, including the ADB Bank at St Anne Catholic Church Teshie, was reportedly nearing completion.
Police and Fire Service personnel are on the scene to manage traffic.
This incident follows a similar occurrence a few weeks ago in Accra, where a downpour accompanied by strong winds caused significant damage to several cars.
