2 dead after head-on collision at Konongo

A tragic accident in Konongo, in the Asante Akim Central Municipality of the Ashanti Region, has resulted in the deaths of two motorbike riders.

The collision, which occurred on the Konongo-Agogo highway, claimed the lives of 30-year-old Iddrisu Awudu and 33-year-old Kwaku Osei.

According to a police situational report, Awudu was riding an unregistered Haojin motorbike from Konongo Township towards the low-cost area when the accident happened.

Osei, the second rider, was traveling from the low-cost area towards Konongo Town. The collision took place in front of FRANBENY PUB along the highway, resulting in a fatal head-on impact between the two riders.

Tragically, both Awudu and Osei lost their lives instantly. Their bodies were transported to the Konongo Central Municipal Hospital for preservation, identification, and autopsy.
