The Parliamentary Ad-Hoc Committee, assigned to investigate the alleged plot to remove the Inspector General of Police (IGP), has resumed its public hearing today, September 1.
Currently before the committee is COP George Alex Mensah, Director of Operations at the Ghana Police Service.
On Thursday, August 31, two key figures implicated in the alleged plot, COP George Alex Mensah, Director of Operations at the Ghana Police Service, and Superintendent Emmanuel Gyebi, appeared before the committee to respond to inquiries.
In his submission, COP George Alex Mensah accused former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Northern Regional Chairman, Daniel Bugri Naabu of falsehood during his appearance before the committee.
Daniel Bugri Naabu is expected to appear before the committee today.
Meanwhile, the committee has adjourned the meeting for an hour to allow COP George Alex and his counsel to have access to the leaked tape for hearing.
