Following a boat disaster in Ada, seven fishermen were initially reported missing by the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) in the area.
As of now, two of them have been successfully rescued, unfortunately confirming one fatality. The whereabouts of the remaining four individuals remain unknown.
The tragic incident transpired on Thursday morning, involving two separate boats, Shalon and Barcelona, carrying a combined total of 19 fishermen. These boats capsized due to a powerful tidal wave.

This unfortunate event marks a total of six casualties from boat accidents in the estuary this year.
