The Ghana Police Service has officially announced the apprehension of an individual linked to the homicide of a 28-year-old individual in Ayiem, situated in the Western Region, on August 25, 2023.
The detention follows an incident in which the accused person, Emmanuel Quayco, along with five other accomplices who are currently evading capture, were featured in a widely circulated video showcasing their purported supernatural abilities. In the video, Quayco used a single-barrel firearm loaded with an AA cartridge to fatally shoot the victim, identified as Amoh Kwadwo, also known as Mallam.
In a statement released on Sunday, August 27, 2023, the Police reported that the apprehended individual is presently under police custody, cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Concurrently, endeavors are being made to apprehend the remaining five suspects in order to bring them to legal proceedings.
The Police however advised them to surrender to the nearest police station before the law catches up with them.
