Injury update on Haaland, Eddie Nketiah, others

When one of their great players gets injured, fantasy football managers around the world cringe because a trip to the hospital is never good news.

Here is all the Premier League injuries and expected return dates throughout the season.

Arsenal

Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee): Japanese full-back will miss the rest of the season after needing surgery.

Eddie Nketiah (ankle): Still a few weeks away from making a return.

Thomas Partey (other): Small issue kept the midfielder out of action for Ghana during the international break.

Kieran Tierney (knock): Substituted after receiving a tough tackle in Scotland’s win over Spain.

Mohamed Elneny (knee): Egyptian midfielder has undergone surgery and will be out for an extended period.

William Saliba (back): French defender was substituted in the Europa League exit to Sporting and not fit to face Leeds.

Aston Villa

Matty Cash (calf): Likely to miss a couple of weeks after picking up a problem on international duty with Poland.

Philippe Coutinho (thigh): Not fit to face Chelsea.

Leander Dendoncker (hand): Ready to play for Unai Emery.

Boubacar Kamara (lower leg): Likely to be included in the squad for the clash at Stamford Bridge.

Jed Steer (Achilles): Goalkeeper is a long-term absentee.

Brentford

Keane Lewis-Potter (knee): Could miss the run-in.

Kristoffer Ajer (calf): Hoping to be fit before the end of the season.

Shandon Baptiste (suspended): Sent off for two bookable offences against Leicester.

Mads Roerslev (hamstring): Right-back is available to face Brighton.

Vitaly Janelt (knee): Absent this weekend and being assessed.

Adam Lallana (hamstring): Could feature before the end of the season.

Mason Mount (abdomen): Trained and is available.

Edouard Mendy (hand): Goalkeeper needed surgery to repair a fractured finger and is back in training.

Raheem Sterling (hamstring): Hoping to return to action against Liverpool on Tuesday.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (back): Absent since the defeat at Tottenham.

Wesley Fofana (hamstring): Will miss the Aston Villa clash.

Reece James (illness): Should be available to boss Graham Potter.
