Erling Haaland has expressed his happiness over his former Borussia Dortmund teammate, Jude Bellingham, making an impressive start at Real Madrid. Haaland and Bellingham shared the pitch at Dortmund for a couple of seasons.
Dortmund signed Bellingham in the summer of 2020 after securing Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg in the previous January.
Both players have now ascended to the top echelons of European football, with Haaland at Manchester City and Bellingham at Real Madrid.
Following Bellingham’s remarkable debut season last year, the Norwegian striker has commended his ex-teammate for his own impressive beginning.
Speaking in an interview with L’Equipe, the striker said: “By the way, I saw the incredible debut of Jude at Real Madrid, and that makes me very happy for him.”

During their time at Dortmund, the duo shared the field in a total of 63 matches and combined effectively on seven occasions. One notable instance was their performance against Bayern Munich in a 3-2 loss to the Bavarians in December 2021.
There is speculation about the possibility of their reunion in Madrid, as Real Madrid’s interest in Haaland remains strong, but only time will reveal what the future holds.
Both Bellingham and Haaland are currently away on international duty, shifting their focus from domestic leagues.
Bellingham is expected to feature in England’s match against Ukraine on Saturday, while Haaland is likely to be part of Norway’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Georgia on Tuesday.
