Guardians beat JHS student with iron rod for alleged GHS50 theft

A first-year JHS student at the Koforidua Sarkodea Basic A school has been physically abused by his parents after they accuse him of stealing GHC 50.

According to reports, Samuel Agyei Tawiah, the child, forcedly agreed to stealing the money to put a stop to his agony.

The pupil, who had no mother when he was born, has been live with his aunt and her husband, who are accused of abusing him.

According to Citi News sources at the school, the guardians who accused the boy of stealing the money subjected him to severe beatings with an iron rod inflicting deep cuts around his left eye.

The boy, sensing danger, then admitted to the crime indicating the money was given to a colleague student, a situation which forced the guardians to match him to the school. But on reaching the school they could not identify the said student he allegedly gave the money to.

The guardians who were angered by that move jumped on him beating him again in front of teachers and students at the school.

The teachers who were allegedly threatened by the guardians when they tried intervening then called in the police who came to escort the student and his guardians to the police station.
