The cause of Mohbad’s death revealed

NewsOne has reported the unfortunate passing of Nigerian street hop singer and former rapper under Naira Marley’s Marlian Music record label, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad.

This online news platform has learned that Mohbad passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

PulseNG said the rapper’s tragic demise was attributed to an ear infection. Sources from the singer’s team revealed that he sought medical attention at the hospital on Tuesday, September 12, and received an injection.

PulseNG also stated that Aloba had been hospitalized due to injuries and reportedly lost consciousness, failing to regain consciousness afterward. Reports suggest that the singer succumbed to a middle ear infection known as Otitis, which causes significant redness, swelling, and excessive fluid accumulation in the eardrum.

Regarding Mohbad’s suicide attempt, Bella Shmurda, another singer and a friend of the late Mohbad, disclosed during an interview with popular media personality Chude Jideonwo that Mohbad had contemplated jumping from an upstairs window due to issues with his record label. Fortunately, he was prevented from doing so by friends. Bella Shmurda recounted the harrowing incident: “There was a time when Mohbad and I were in an apartment, and Mohbad expressed a desire to jump from an upstairs window due to his record label problems. We managed to restrain him by the window. Mohbad had nearly jumped when his girlfriend entered the room and found him seated by the window.”

Mohbad’s passing leaves a void in the music industry.
