Renowned Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Damini Ogulu, widely recognized as Burna Boy, has confessed to providing false information in various legal and law enforcement settings.
It will be recalled that the Nigerian police previously summoned Burna Boy in connection to a nightclub shooting incident in Lagos last year. Additionally, five police officers affiliated with the singer faced detention by the Lagos police command on charges related to attempted murder.
The five policemen faced arrest due to their participation in the shooting incident that occurred at Cubana Night Club on Victoria Island, resulting in injuries to two individuals.
This incident stemmed from a 2017 accusation by Mr. 2kay, who claimed that Burna Boy had allegedly dispatched individuals to assault him at Eko Hotels and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos. Consequently, the Lagos State Police Command issued a warrant for Burna Boy’s arrest in connection with the matter.
Speaking on Instagram about his blunt personality, Burna Boy said that he has never lied except in courtrooms and police stations.
The self-styled ‘African Giant’ wrote, “The only times I ever lied was in courtrooms and police stations.
“If you don’t like me, I don’t like you more than you don’t like me. You can’t win.”
