Felix Afena-Gyan, a Ghanaian international, came off the bench to score a header and the game-winning penalty for U.S. Cremonese against SSC Napoli on Tuesday night.
His club eliminated SSC Napoli from the Coppa Italia this season thanks to the pivotal goal.
Felix Afena-Gyan, who has lacked consistency since leaving AS Roma to join U.S. Cremonese, came on as a second-half substitute for his team in the away cup game today.
Charles Picket’s equalizer in the 18th minute gave the visitors a startling lead in the game.
Later in the first half before the break, goals from Juan Jesus and Giovanne Simeone turned things around for Napoli as the giants took a 2-1 lead into the break.
Thanks to the resilience of U.S Cremonese, the team forced the match to enter extra time courtesy of a late strike from Ghana striker Felix Afena-Gyan.
