Eight out of eleven individuals have lost their lives after a canoe carrying them capsized on the Oti river.
The incident occurred on Monday, March 27.
The passengers were mourners heading to Sabaja, in the Krachi West Municipality, to Sabaja, a community in the Krachi Nchumuru District.
According to an eyewitness account, the deceased were all without life jackets.
