Thomas Partey missing in Arsenal’s squad for USA pre-season tour

Ghanaian international Thomas Partey will remain in England for an additional week to focus on his recovery as the club embarks on their pre-season tour to the USA.

Partey has been actively training with the Gunners for several weeks now, having returned from a brief break in Ghana.

Although he participated in Arsenal’s recent 3-3 draw against Nurnberg, the midfielder has been excluded from the squad traveling to the USA due to an injury.

However, it is anticipated that Partey, along with Emile Smith Rowe, will join their teammates in the United States next week.

In order to ensure their full recuperation, the Premier League giants have made the decision to keep the pair behind until they are ready to rejoin the team in the North American country.

Arsenal will face MLS All-Stars team at Audi Field, Washington D.C on Wednesday, July 19.

The Gunners are expected to play Manchester United in the MetLife Stadium on Saturday, July 22 in New Jersey before the wrap up their tour with a game against Barcelona on Wednesday, July 26 at SoFi Stadium.
