Who wins Premier League next season? Supercomputer predicts

Following Manchester City’s successful defense of the Premier League title this season, a supercomputer has generated predictions for the next season’s table.

City secured the crown with three games remaining, defeating Arsenal, while Nottingham Forest effectively dashed the Gunners’ hopes of claiming the title on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s team had been considered strong contenders for the championship, given their impressive form leading up to the season.

The north Londoners had dominated the league this term as they enjoyed an eight-point lead at the top at some point.

However, a string of poor results in recent weeks denied them a chance to win the title, with their defeat to Nottingham crashing their hopes altogether, per The Guardian.

Supercomputer predicts next season’s winners

While Arsenal are keen to give the title challenge a fresh shot next season, a supercomputer has painted a grim picture of their chances of winning the trophy.

According to The Sun, citing Ladbrokes’ prediction, Man City will retain the trophy once again next season.

Arsenal are billed to finish second once again, with Liverpool, who face the prospect of missing out on a Champions League spot this term, securing a third-place finish.

Manchester United, who have hopes of challenging for the title, will have to contend with a fourth-place finish, with Chelsea billed to finish fifth.

Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are both predicted to finish outside the top four.

Haaland joins fans in dance

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Erling Haaland was once again the centre of attraction during Man City’s Premier League trophy presentation.

The Norwegian hotshot was involved in a heartwarming moment with City fans as he was caught on camera leaving an on-pitch interview to join supporters in dance.

Talksport reports that Sky Sports had managed to get hold of the striker for an interview before the incident happened.
