World Cup 2022: Portugal’s probable starting eleven for Ghana clash on Thursday

The national teams of Portugal and Ghana are both geared up for the opening clash in Group H later this week.

In the build-up to what will be a tough match for the Black Stars, we make a prediction of the starting eleven likely to play for the Portuguese national team.

Spoiled for choice with a lot of quality players at his disposal, Portugal coach Fernando Santos will have a bit of a headache in choosing his first eleven.

In the expert analysis by the footballghana team after following the training sessions of Ghana’s opponent, we have settled on the probable lineup for Portugal.

Despite the uneasiness surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo after his recent explosive interview, expect that his name will be the first on the team.

He has the full trust of his coach who has relied on him for several years. The Manchester United attacker should be deployed as the lead attacker with support from talented Rafael Leao and Andre Silva.

Check out predicted Portugal starting eleven below. Feel free to leave a comment below. What team should Ghana start?

GK: Diogo Costa

 RB: Joao Cancelo

CB: Ruben Dias

CB: Pepe

LB: Nuno Mendes

CM: Ruben Neves

CM: William Carvalho

CM: Bruno Fernandes

RW: Andre Silva

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo

LW: Rafael
