Eva Green has prevailed in her High Court dispute with a production company on the demise of a science fiction movie.
The dystopian thriller A Patriot was supposed to star the Casino Royale star in the lead role, however the production fell through in October 2019.
The 42-year-old later filed a lawsuit against the film’s production firm, claiming that the terms of their contract entitled her to her million-dollar (£810,000) fee.
A counterclaim was filed against Ms. Green by White Lantern Film and their financier SMC Speciality Finance, who claimed that she had jeopardized the independent film’s production and breached the contract.
Mr Justice Michael Green had been due to give his written ruling on the case on Friday after overseeing a trial in London earlier this year.
Edmund Cullen KC, for Ms Green, previously told the court that the actress had been subjected to a ‘character assassination’, adding it was ‘based on some of the cheapest and nastiest sorts of stereotypes around’.
