Ghanaian youngster David Oduro delivered an impressive performance in his debut game for Barcelona’s youth team against Real Sociedad B on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
The talented left-back, who joined Barcelona in August, had been sidelined due to documentation issues, finally making his debut last night.
Coming on for Alexis Olmedo at halftime, Oduro immediately showcased his potential with dynamic runs down the left wing. His maturity and skill on the ball were evident, as he contributed significantly to Barcelona Atletic’s play, both offensively and defensively.
Oduro demonstrated his versatility by threading intricate passes to create scoring opportunities and making well-timed interventions to protect his team from conceding goals.
His strong debut performance has already won over Barcelona fans, who are calling for him to serve as backup for Alejandro Balde, the club’s first-choice left-back.
Despite the delayed debut, Oduro has trained with the first team on several occasions, giving him valuable exposure at the top level.
Oduro, who signed a three-year contract with Barcelona from Ghanaian club Accra Lions, is now expected to start for Barcelona Atletic in their upcoming match against Lugo this weekend, following his standout debut.
