Affluent socialite Ibrahim Dauda, also known as Ibrah One, has opened up about the real reason behind a public attack by the outspoken politician, Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central.
In an interview with Kofi TV, monitored by GhanaWeb, Ibrah One revealed that the root of the conflict was an unintentional interaction with Agyapong’s girlfriend, which sparked the lawmaker’s outburst.
Back in 2020, Agyapong launched a scathing verbal assault against Ibrah, accusing him of money laundering and evading taxes on his imported cars.
The MP even suggested that Ibrah would soon be apprehended by security forces.
In response, Ibrah took to social media to taunt Agyapong, stating that his home’s gates would remain open for two days, daring authorities to arrest him.
He went on to make bold threats, mentioning high-profile individuals in his post.
“Ken!!! My gate is going to remain open like this for 2 solid days. I did this just to show you how messy I am! On the 3rd day, people will start to die. even that your stupid short president will be part of the corpse! Even Bill Gate will look for me just to forgive him.”
Agyapong, known for his anti-corruption stance, claimed on his show “The Seat” on Net 2 TV that he was committed to exposing fraudulent individuals, regardless of their status.
He mentioned that several people had approached him, begging him not to reveal their involvement in illicit activities after he began speaking out about Ibrah.
However, Ibrah One explained in the recent interview that the real cause of Agyapong’s anger stemmed from a misunderstanding involving the MP’s girlfriend.
According to Ibrah, he unknowingly got involved with the woman, who only revealed her connection to Agyapong after spending time with him.
“Hmmm, it is a long story. I mistakenly touched his woman, that was all. I didn’t know she was his woman. The girl brought herself; I didn’t know. That was the reason why he was ranting. Kennedy will not rant unless you touch his woman. I won’t say his woman because he is not married to the person. I’ll say girlfriend.
“So I said fine; since I am a small boy, you are not going to see her. So all those days he was ranting, the girl was with me. But he can’t come out and say it was because of a girl. He tried to hide a lot of things, but it was because of a woman. Kennedy will never fight you if it’s not because of a woman.”
When Ibrah found out, he was offended by Agyapong’s dismissive remarks about him being a “small boy” and decided to keep the woman with him for a month, further aggravating the situation.
“Later, I found out she was his girlfriend, the girl told me. After she spent the first night with me, that’s when she let me know. I think Kennedy tried to call her, and she told me Kennedy was trying to call her. I asked her if she knows Kennedy; that’s when she told me everything—that Kennedy took care of her, got her where she stays, and even bought her a car,” Ibrah One said.
Despite the heated exchange, Ibrah One mentioned that the two have since reconciled. They even crossed paths at a hotel where Agyapong covered Ibrah’s meal, signaling that any animosity had subsided.
Ibrah concluded by stating that Agyapong likely realized the futility of trying to control a woman who was determined to act on her own terms.
“I have met him after the incident, I think, at Alisa Hotel. He even paid for my food. We are cool; I think he has now gotten it in his mind that women who have made their minds that they want to play games will always play their game.” Ibrah One added.
