Ghana Trade Fair redevelopment project, led by CEO Agnes Adu, is progressing steadily, with completion anticipated by year’s end.
This extensive upgrade aims to transform the Trade Fair site into a world-class venue, highlighted by a state-of-the-art convention centre poised to enhance Ghana’s appeal for international events and trade exhibitions.
According to Madam Adu, around 90% of essential infrastructure—such as roads, drainage, electricity, water, and data connectivity—has already been finalised.
This foundational work is vital to meeting global standards and preparing the site to host diverse activities upon completion.
The redevelopment will also feature a hotel, retail outlets, and a data centre, with construction on these facilities scheduled to begin in early 2025, broadening the Trade Fair’s offerings and accommodating a variety of visitor needs.
As the project advances, optimism grows about its economic impact on Ghana’s trade and exhibition sectors, with stakeholders hopeful about the new opportunities and growth the modernised Trade Fair complex will bring.
