This choreographed dance by Ghana U23 Team’s got them trending after AFCON qualification

Following their AFCON qualification, Ghana’s national U23 team, the Black Meteors, created a beautifully choreographed dance celebration that has gone viral on social media.

In order to get one of the tickets for this year’s Africa U23 Cup of Nations in Morocco, the Black Meteors defeated Algeria 1-0 in Kumasi.

After meeting a beautiful cross from Ernest Nuamah in the first half, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored the game’s winning goal, giving the west Africans a 2-1 overall victory.

Following the final whistle from the referee, the team went into wild celebrations, joining the fans to enjoy their qualification.

In a video posted on social media, the players were spotted showing off a well-rehearsed dance in front of the fans.

Ghana will now switch their attention to qualifying for the Olympic Games in Paris next year, by finishing as one of the best three teams at the AFCON U23 championship in Morocco.

The tournament will start on June 23 and end on July 8.

Ghana last qualified for the men’s football event at the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004.

Ghana through to AFCON U23 In related coverage, Sports Brief reported on Issahaku starring once again in Kumasi as the Black Meteors sealed qualification to the AFCON U23.

The Sporting Lisbon winger connected a cross from Nuamah to score the only goal as the Black Meteors secured a 2-1 aggregate win after two legs.

The Ghanaian U23 team got off to a great start after new star, Nuamah fired off a beautiful cross for Issahaku to finish off early in the first half.

Fans praise Ernest Nuamah Nuamah is Ghana’s newest star following his dazzling display for the Black Meteors in the AFCON U23 qualifiers, Sports Brief also reported.

The FC Nordsjaelland forward provided an assist as the country’s U23 team defeated Algeria to qualify for the tournament in Morocco in June.

Nuamah tormented the Young Desert Foxes, creating several opportunities for his teammates but only one was converted by Issahaku.
