Herbert Hainer, the President of Bayern Munich, has made a strong statement confirming that they, along with other club officials, are closely monitoring Nigerian and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen during this summer transfer window.
Osimhen had an outstanding performance during the 2022/23 Serie A season, playing a pivotal role in Napoli’s triumph as they clinched the Scudetto after a 33-year wait.
His remarkable season also saw him secure the Golden Boot award, making him the first-ever African player to achieve this feat in the history of Serie A.

According to reports on Soccernet and Football London, Herbert Hainer explained that he is aware of the fact that Bayern will have to spend big for them to have Osimhen.

“As a striker costs a lot, we have to make sure he fits well at Bayern. The same names are mentioned in the media: Kolo Muani, Harry Kane, Osimhen, Vlahovic.
“We are watching closely to see who is a better fit at Bayern. We’re also looking at the financial side. I am convinced that we will find a good solution.”

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Victor Osimhen showcased his adorable daughter to the world as Napoli welcomed Sampdoria in their final Serie A game of the season.
The 24-year-old led the Partenopei to the Scudetto this season, with his 26 goals making him the top scorer.
Osimhen was on the scoresheet again in Napoli’s final match of the season, after he netted from the spot in the 64th minute.
Giovanni Simeone scored the second goal to seal Napoli’s historic season with a 2-0 win.
