RC Lens manager Franck Haise has praised Ghanaian midfielder Salis Abdul Samed for his important role in the team.
The 22-year-old joined RC Lens from Clermont this summer and quickly settled into the midfield, where he has taken on the heavy responsibility of succeeding Cheick Doucouré, who left for Crystal Palace.
Samed, whom Franck Haise had seen on trial at the same time as Cheick Doucouré on leaving the Jean-Marc Guillou Academy, never stopped following him with the recruitment unit:
“He’s someone who came to the test more than 3 and a half years ago and since this test, we have always followed him. He had shown things, even if perhaps not enough compared to Douc’ at the time. But we knew there was real potential.

“We have always followed him, he worked well with Pascal Gastien in Clermont. With the cell, we quickly agreed to say that it was an element on which we could anticipate with the departure of Cheick Doucouré,” Haise said.
Since then, the player has distinguished himself by a good communicative mood in the locker room. Last week, David Pereira Da Costa underlined the ability of his new teammate to do good for morale.
Franck Haise also describes someone very expressive: “ If for Jean Onana and Alexis Claude-Maurice, I can speak of reserved people, he has a more extroverted side! (smile) That’s good, that’s the beauty of a group, we need everything! ”
Samed has played six games this season and scored one goal.
