Pep Guardiola, Graham Potter, ranked among top 10 highest paid football managers worldwide

The highest-paid football manager in the world is Diego Simeone of Atletico Madrid.

On a list of some of the best coaches in the world, the Argentine manager places ahead of notable coaches like Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti.

Two La Liga managers, two Bundesliga managers, three Serie A managers, and three English Premier League managers are represented on the list.

Simeone is currently making £573,966 per week at Atletico, or an annual salary of £29,846,244 according to Fan Nation, which obtained information from a 2023 list.

Pep Guardiola of Manchester City is the highest-paid manager in England, while Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp and recently sacked Chelsea’s Graham Potter also earn eight-figure salaries.

Juventus manager Max Allegri is the highest-paid manager in Italy, while Thomas Tuchel is the highest-paid manager in Germany after recently signing a contract with Bayern Munich.

Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid is seventh on the list and reportedly earns nearly three times more than Barcelona counterpart Xavi Hernandez who failed to make the list of the top 10 earners.

Top 10 highest-paid managers Asides from Diego Simeone, other top managers on the top 10 highest-paid coaches according to Football Espana include:

1. Diego Simeone (Atetico Madrid) €29m

PSG urged to hire Simeone or Mourinho

It was earlier reported Paris Saint-Germain have been urged to appoint either Jose Mourinho or Diego Simeone, if they truly nurse any ambition of one day winning the UEFA Champions League.

PSG once again suffered heartbreak in Europe’s most prestigious club competition after they were knocked out in the round of 16 by Bayern Munich.

Former Liverpool midfielder, Danny Mills believes only a managerial change that involves the hiring of Mourinho or Simeone could make the Parisians become champions of Europe.
