Newcastle in ‘group of death’ with Dortmund, PSG in UCL draw

Paris St Germain’s journey for their inaugural Champions League title will commence in Group F, a competitive lineup featuring Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and Newcastle United, as revealed in Thursday’s draw.

Defending champions Manchester City are pitted against RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade, and Young Boys in Group G. Having secured their first European victory this year, Pep Guardiola’s team is expected to advance comfortably to the knockout stage, especially considering their commanding 7-0 win over Leipzig in the previous tournament.

The record-holding 14-time champions, Real Madrid, are slated to face Serie A winners Napoli, Braga, and Union Berlin in Group C. Meanwhile, German powerhouse Bayern Munich is set to take on Manchester United, FC Copenhagen, and Galatasaray in Group A.

Inter Milan, last season’s runners-up, will face challenges from Benfica, RB Salzburg, and Real Sociedad in Group D. Meanwhile, Group B features an intriguing matchup between Europa League winners Sevilla and Arsenal, joined by PSV Eindhoven and RC Lens.

LaLiga champions Barcelona is set to compete against Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, and Royal Antwerp in Group H. Group E consists of Feyenoord, Atletico Madrid, Lazio, and Celtic.

The Champions League group stage is scheduled to kick off on September 19th and wrap up on December 13th. The knockout rounds are slated to begin in February, culminating in the final at London’s Wembley Stadium in June.
