Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham is set to invest in a wellness brand alongside a former NASA scientist.
The former Manchester United star has been prolific when it comes to expanding his business empire over the years, from adidas partnerships to fragrances and whisky to fashion, among others.
Now, biotech firm Prenetics has revealed the 49-year-old is a strategic investor, co-founder and ambassador of health brand IM8, according to the Indy100.
The ex-Real Madrid player said: “Their [Prenetics’] guidance has been crucial to my health and well-being.”
Company’s CEO and co-founder, Danny Yeung, added: “David epitomises the values of discipline, teamwork and health… we have a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the consumer health and wellness industry.”
The report adds that details on IM8 are ‘sparse’ and it was developed by an unnamed former chief scientist at The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Beckham is certainly keeping busy long after the conclusion of his iconic footballing career.
Beckham, who also has partnerships with companies such as Sands, Maserati, Panini, and Guild eSports, sees his Inter Miami side take on Toronto next Wednesday as they look to return to the top of the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer.
