Maxwell Konadu hospitalised after he was beaten by Bofoakwa Tano fans (VIDEO)

Maxwell Konadu, the head coach of Nsoatreman FC, found himself in a distressing situation on Sunday after the matchday 11 encounter against Bofoakwa Tano FC in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

Despite the match ending in a goalless draw after 90 minutes of intense action, the post-match atmosphere took a dark turn when fans of the home team attacked Coach Maxwell Konadu. The incident was fueled by the frustration of Bofoakwa Tano FC supporters, who were bewildered by their team’s inability to secure a victory against Nsoatreman FC.

In a disturbing turn of events, the fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the perceived underperformance of Bofoakwa Tano FC by directing their anger towards Coach Konadu. They questioned how Nsoatreman FC managed to secure a point against their team.

Maxwell Konadu, now undergoing treatment at a local hospital, sustained injuries during the reported attack. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of coaches and players in the Ghana Premier League and emphasizes the need for enhanced security measures during and after matches.

Authorities are expected to launch an investigation into the incident, and it is hoped that appropriate action will be taken to prevent such occurrences in the future. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of promoting a culture of sportsmanship and respect among fans, regardless of the outcomes on the field.
