Head coach of Ajax, Maurice Steijn, is doing all in his power to encourage Mohammed Kudus to stay with the team for an additional year in an effort to retain the talent of their valuable midfielder.
Kudus is receiving a lot of attention and interest from several clubs, and Steijn’s will to keep the excellent player underscores the significant part the Ghanaian star plays in the Dutch football superpower.
“I feel that when Kudus decides to stay for one more year, the real top clubs will then come for him,” he said.
“If we win the league and he scores 20 goals, clubs will pay double for him. This is what we are trying to tell him now,”
On July 16, 2020, Mohammed Kudus joined de Godenzonen. The 22-year-old midfielder made 30 appearances, contributed to 11 goals and three assists last season.
The rumors in England on Saturday claim that Chelsea has contacted Ajax to express interest in Mohammed Kudus. The midfielder has several suitors interested in his services, including Brighton, Newcastle United, and Arsenal.
