Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi is eyeing a departure from the club, with both Manchester United and Arsenal expressing interest in securing the defender’s signature this summer.
According to reports from The Times, Crystal Palace anticipates losing the talented defender in the upcoming transfer window, as both the Red Devils and the Gunners vie for his services.
Despite being the subject of attention for the past two years, Guehi opted to stay with Palace last summer. However, it is now widely expected that he will make a move this time around.
With his high potential and two years remaining on his contract, Guehi is reportedly available for a price exceeding £55 million ($68.8 million).
Manchester United, facing urgent needs in central defense, may find themselves in a bidding war for Guehi’s signature this summer, particularly as Sir Jim Ratcliffe seeks to revamp the squad.
Having progressed through Chelsea’s youth system, Guehi joined Palace three years ago for a reported fee of £18 million ($22.5 million). While Chelsea retains the right to match offers from other clubs, it seems unlikely that they will pursue re-signing the defender.
Despite undergoing knee surgery in February, Guehi aims to return to action before the end of the season, hoping to earn a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024 in Germany.
