Manchester City extended their lead at the top of the Premier League with a dominant 4-0 victory over Fulham, thanks to two goals from Josko Gvardiol and strikes from Phil Foden and substitute Julian Alvarez.
Gvardiol opened the scoring early on with a clinical finish after a well-worked move. Foden doubled City’s lead in the second half with a first-time finish, before Gvardiol added his second with a close-range effort.
Erling Haaland missed a chance to further extend City’s lead, but Alvarez made it 4-0 from the penalty spot after Issa Diop was sent off for a foul on him in stoppage time.
The result puts pressure on title rivals Arsenal, who face Manchester United needing a win to keep their title hopes alive. If Arsenal fail to win, City could secure their fourth consecutive Premier League title with a victory against Tottenham in their next game.
City have now won seven consecutive league games and look formidable as they aim to clinch another league trophy under Pep Guardiola. Fulham, on the other hand, have had a disappointing end to the season, winning just one of their last eight games.
