Ghanaian footballer, Kamaldeen Sulemana, has rejoined his Southampton teammates for pre-season training. The young talent made the move to the English club from Stade Rennais FC in the French Ligue 1 during the January transfer window of 2022.
Southampton signed Kamaldeen to bolster their squad and aid in their efforts to avoid relegation. However, despite his contributions, the team faced a challenging 2022/23 football season and unfortunately suffered relegation.
Following the season’s conclusion, Kamaldeen was given the opportunity to rest and spend time with his family during the off-season. Now, he has reported back to Southampton and was seen training with the team on Thursday, July 20, as part of their pre-season preparations.
The forward is expected to be part of the squad for Southampton’s friendly match against Norwich on Saturday, July 22.
Although there have been reports of interest from other clubs, Kamaldeen Sulemana is open to the idea of staying at Southampton to aid the team’s quest for promotion from the English Championship.
