Its just a matter of feeding him 60% of the balls, he will deliver– Asamoah Gyan on Inaki Williams

Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has shared his perspective on Ghana’s 1-0 triumph over Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Gyan suggested the importance of incorporating Athletic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams into the team’s offensive strategy. Williams’ decisive goal secured a three-point victory for Ghana during the match held at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, November 17, 2023.

In a post-match statement on Twitter, Gyan conveyed his belief that providing Inaki Williams with 60% of the balls in the offensive play would enhance his performance.

“Just feed him with 60% of the balls in attack, and he will be ready mentally to deliver. PERIOD,” Gyan asserted in his Twitter post.

Inaki Williams had a goal disallowed for offside earlier in the game but remained persistent in his efforts.

In the dying moments of added time, Williams seized an opportunity from a Gideon Mensah cross, skillfully evading his marker to head the ball into the net, securing his inaugural goal for the Black Stars.
