Ghanaian striker Inaki Williams achieved a significant milestone in his career with Athletic Bilbao, making his 400th appearance in a game against Atletico Madrid.
The 29-year-old played a pivotal role as Athletic Bilbao secured a 2-0 victory over the former La Liga champions, with goals from Gorka Guruzeta and his younger brother, Nico Williams.
Williams, a Spanish-born Ghanaian, has dedicated his entire career to playing for Athletic Bilbao, earning him legendary status at the club.
Celebrating the achievement, the Athletic Club shared, “Fireproof. Add and continue. 400 matches vigorously defending the red and white shirt, Zarionak, Williams.”
Despite his significant contribution, Williams will be absent from the club during the Africa Cup of Nations in January and February.
In the current La Liga season, the Black Stars striker has scored eight goals and provided three assists for Athletic Bilbao.
